Massachusetts Hotel Reservations
As fall gives way to winter, communities throughout Massachusetts continue to welcome visitors with all sorts of family-friendly fun, both indoors and out. Sports, holiday celebrations, community festivals, and more – the Old Colony State has it all this season.
The coming winter means it’s time to start planning your ski trip. In the east, Haverhill serves as an ideal basecamp for skiers visiting Ski Bradford, and Concord is great place to get some rest before and after hitting the slopes of the Nashoba Valley Ski Area. In the Bay State’s far western reaches, Pittsfield visitors have easy access to Jiminy Peak Ski Area, which boasts 44 trails across 170 skiable acres. This year’s snow season is expected to last through February and into March.
New England Patriots fans stay in Sharon for the most convenient access to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. The reigning Super Bowl champs have come out red hot, getting off to an 8-0 start, and they look and they look to keep their foot on the gas all the way into the January post-season. Check the schedule during your eastern Massachusetts visit to witness the hard-hitting NFL action first hand.
Concord visitors can get into the spirit of the holiday season while finding a sense of the city’s rich history when they embark on a Holiday House Tour on December 5th. Orchestrated by the Concord Museum, the tour features a collection of city’s most beautiful historic Colonial, Victorian, and Shingle-style homes, professionally decorated for the holidays, and offering complimentary coffee and doughnuts provided by Dunkin Donuts.
In Springfield, the 2015 Bright Nights at Forest Park event transforms Forest Park into a true winter wonderland from November 26th through January 3rd. The park will be decked out in over 600,000 lights, offering horse-drawn carriage rides, and more festive fun. Gates open at 5 p.m. each night.
The entire Chelmsford community comes together for the 2016 Chelmsford Winter Fest. Venues all across the city host everything from choir concerts to storytelling, movie presentations, nature walks, and more, from February 6th through 8th. Check local schedules during your visit and join in the fun.
